1.I think I will use DSL for a long time. Can I chang the refesh to 85HZ?

2.If i can't use 85HZ,i will work in the text mode, but evertime i have to run in X first.I try to modify the inittab file, and it still start in X automathilly.

3.Evertime i have to press the <space> to start it up or wait 30 seconds, i don't know how to fix it.

4.I come from China,(as you see,my english is so poor,i think i have written some wrong words or sentence)and when the file's name is Chinese ,it becomes "??????",how can i add Chinese surpporded?

1. Install the XFree86.dsl and configure it.

2. Add "dsl 2" to your bootloader config file's append statement and re-run your bootloader to activate the changes.

3. Change your bootloader config from vga=xxx into vga=normal

4. I don't know.  Maybe search the forums and there might be some help on getting DSL to work with foriegn languages.  I seem to remember someone doing a fix for a similar problem.

EUFO, someone in Taiwan made DSL-1.2.1-CH. Are you Chinese-Mainland or Chinese-Taipei? If you are Chinese-Mainland, something may be different.

Locales:  en_US ISO-8859-1 and zh_TW.Big5
Fonts:    xfonts-intl-chinese
XIM:       xcin
Terminal: rxvt, rxvt-ml, crxvt

I think we can make it as a Chinese extension for DSL.
