Ok here goes,
I have a Petium 133 with 16mb memory and 2 gig harddrive (whitebox)
I have made both floppy and burned cd.
I start up and it looks
the flash screen with the boot promp.
I hit enter and it starts loading.
Loading vmlinuz ................................
Loading miniroot.gz...
Boot failed: Please change disks and press a key to continue

Well this is what happens.  Any ideas as to what is going on?
I have attempted it a few time with the same results.
What do I do now?
:(

No idea really, did you check the md5 checksum of the ISO?

Ok it looks like my boot disk was bad.
I made another one an it worked ok.
I got to the point where a small gray Pengiun and a bar at the bottom of the screen with Workspace a couple of <> <> the time and date.

Ok what do I do next.  I have no idea as to what it wants me to do.

I right click the mouse on the time thinking I could change it but it locked up the mouse.  So I am attempting to re-install it right now.

Ok I am back to where a small gray Pengiun and a bar at the bottom of the screen with Workspace a couple of <> <> the time and date.
Ok it seem to be just sitting there.  I don't see any activity.
What now?

If you have acess to different kind of mouse, try swapping your mouse out, reboot, and see if you can right-click without the system crashing.

Good Luck.

The question is know that I have a screen showing the gray and wihite penguin sitting in the middle of the screen and box at the bottom of the screen

What does it want me to do?
There does not seem to be anything on the screen to click this and   you will continue to the next part.  Or do I have a problem

Move the mouse slightly, do a right click, at the bottom of the popup menu click on Enhance, enjoy.

If you Right-click your mouse anywhere on the background, a menu will appear that is similar to the "Start" menu in Microsoft Windows™. There will be a bunch of choices. Choose "Enhance" and desktop icons will appear. Also, a network and CPU loading monitor will appear in the lower corner.

The thing on the bottom is similar to the "task bar" in Microsoft Windows™.
