hey guysi've got a proiblem with my xmms in dsl I installed it onto an old amd pc, 300 mhz and so on - not too new. the problem is, I can't figure out how to blay a song in xmms! I use oss and /dev/dsp, but then I get the error "make sure no other program is blocking your soundcard and that you've configured your soundcard the right way" what to do? I had that on my debian linux on my computer,, it works now, but I can logically not launch any kde settings in dsl! any ideas? g dante Posted by doobit on Jan. 28 2006,21:33
If sound is not configured by DSL on bootup, then xmms will not play. You might try alsa from the testing area of the repository. I am able to use the opl2 drivers on my Toshiba laptop.

well, I don't know yet how to add stuff to my dsl system, it's not connected to the net... how can I do this? burn another boot cd? with alsa in the directory or what?
