hey guys

i've got a proiblem with my xmms in dsl
I installed it onto an old amd pc, 300 mhz and so on - not too new. the problem is, I can't figure out how to blay a song in xmms! I use oss and /dev/dsp, but then I get the error "make sure no other program is blocking your soundcard and that you've configured your soundcard the right way"

what to do? I had that on my debian linux on my computer,, it works now, but I can logically not launch any kde settings in dsl! any ideas?

If sound is not configured by DSL on bootup, then xmms will not play. You might try alsa from the testing area of the repository. I am able to use the opl2 drivers on my Toshiba laptop.
