Hi,

I would like to access my Sony camera through USB but I'm having no success mounting it. I can successfully mount a pen drive in the same machine through /dev/sda1, but the camera just doesn't work this way.

In Gentoo with kernel 2.6 I can successfully mount the camera. Please help asap as I'll travel this weekend. :-)

Thanks for the attention and congratulations for the great work!!

Best regards,
Cesar

i think you can view your camera through gtKam, however gtKam.dsl is outdated, so i would suggest to get gtkam via apt-get :) in debian/testing

I do not have SONY camera but I tested DSL Memory Stick connection with my SONY clie UX-50. It may apply to SONY camera.

I used clie Data Import which it is used for PC connection. It works by these steps:-

1) Connect USB cable between PC and Device before booting
2) Activate (Connect) connection application on Device side at DSL booting time
3) After booting, DSL can see Memory Stick as /dev/sda1
4) Mount Memory Stick in Emelfm on /mnt/sda1

Hope it may help you. Good luck :D
