I'm a DSL Nooob so please bear with me.

I've completed a HD install and I can't get any audio.

PC Details: Compaq EN 6350 (sff) with built in sound.

With standard Debian I just include the following in /etc/modules :

sb esstype=1869 io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1

and this works fine, however I can't get this going under DSL

Anybody got any ideas ??

DSL is ultrasmart - Excellent work to all the dev's - I've just ordered the book and will be making a donation soonest.

Cheers

Does typing:

sudo modprobe sb esstype=1869 io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1

inside a terminal window work for you?

Thanks for the reply.

No I get a bunch of errors when doing it direct via the command line.

Unfortunately i'm not at that PC at the mo and can't remember exactly what errors were returned, but if think it was basicaly 'module not found'

Any and all help greatly appreciated cos i'm trying to turn this box into a dukebox for the workshop :)

Cheers
