All,

I've really been enjoying DSL. I'm a database guy and admittedly not so swift with all things sonic and linux. Anyway, I don't need much...just the ability to pull in mp3 streams. I don't even need to play CD's.

Anyway, I'm only getting "left" sound at the moment. When I hit dMix and turn the "right" all the way down, nothing changes. When I turn the "left" all the way down the sound goes away all together.

Running on half sound, it down't sound so great. This laptop/speakers soundsgreat on the SuSe partition, but DSL is cooler than Suse'll ever be. Anyway, any ideas on how to fill this out?

To help, here's my lspci. And oh yeah, alsa appears not to do so hot here, "alsaconf" said it couldn't read the sound card.
