The color is all messed up in DSL, I thought I might be using 256 colors, but I can't find the xorg.conf file, can someone help me?

There is no xorg.conf, DSL uses xvesa. Use cheat code> dsl xsetup  or  run xsetup.sh in a running system. Also you can try> dsl vga=normal.

Okay, I'm not quite sure how to use a cheat code, and using "dls vga=normal" doesn't seem to work. ?

Edit:Right click > System > X setup, then set it up right.  Fixed it.

I'm fooling around with an old Dell Latitude CPi w/P2 366MHz, 128MB, and a 40GB hard drive, which is partitioned with hda1 being /, and 20GB in size, hda2 is a 15GB FAT32 partition, and there's a 4GB Linux Swap partition. At the moment, XFree86 appears to have purple icons all over the place. The LiveCD gives me the same problems (have since installed to hard drive, still experiences purple icons, and overall extra purple all over...

I'll try and upload a screenshot asap. I'll be fooling around with the setup tools. I've been able to get the wifi pcmcia card working perfectly so far, and will be downloading addons and such for the next few hours.

Thanks for DSL! It's a great way to revitalize old hardware that would otherwise be thrown out.
