When I try to mount a music cd (I have installed DSL on my HD) I get the error message, "mount: you must specify the filesystem type"

Perhaps my fstab is not set up correctly?

/dev/cdrom /mnt/auto/cdrom auto defaults,ro,user,exec,noauto 0 0

I can mount a data cd just fine.
How to mount and play a music cd?
Thanks

You don't mount music CDs, unless they are mp3/ogg.
Just use the command "xmms  /dev/cdrom", or select the "Xmms Play CD" menu item.

Thank you for your response.
I have my music CDs playing now.
The issue was that I didn't have alsa installed or sndconfig.
cheers.
