Linux RPM (self-extracting file) filesize: 17.73 MB
Linux (self-extracting file) filesize: 18.22 MB
Linux x64 * filesize: 17.23 MB
Linux x64 RPM * filesize: 16.82 MB

ok is linux and linux RPM the same thing, or does it matter?
also is the mydsl extension the latest java or close to it?

#1: No, they are different. If you want to use .rpm's you'll have to convert them to .deb's. It'll probably be much easier for you to use the self extracting one (I'm guessing you can just execute this normally like a makeself).
#2: see bolded
Posted by curaga on Sep. 16 2007,18:56The mydsl extension is 1.5.0 runtime, whereas I think the newest is something like 1.6.0R2..
edit: RPM is Redhat's package system, just like mydsl is DSL's. So unless you use a Redhat based distro, they are little use to you..
