Just upgraded from dial-up to high speed internet.

What do I need to be able to view local tv station and newspaper videos.

They require Flashplayer8.

Am using DSL3.3 and have flash7 installed.

Video from you-tube plays correctly.

Would Realplayer or Xine or mplayer-plugin be helpful?

If they can be downloaded, Mplayer can play them, so I guess mplayerplug-in might work for you for in-browser viewing..

OR you could install gtk2, alsa and then Flash9 will work..

This is the first I've heard of someone getting flash 9 to work (for more than a few moments).
