Posted by jhsu on Jan. 13 2008,06:08I've used keepvid.com to download Youtube videos. I have both MPlayer and the MPlayer plug-in MyDSL extensions installed.
However, MPlayer refuses to play *.flv files. I get the "Fatal Error" dialog box with the message "No stream found". What am I missing? What are the appropriate settings under the "preferences" menu?

Posted by jhsu on Jan. 13 2008,16:14So why is MPlayer allowing you to play videos but not me? What are your configurations? I can't for the life of me understand the mumbo jumbo in the preferences options.
Posted by curaga on Jan. 13 2008,16:37Let's test. Give me a youtube address, I'll download the vid using my youtube-dl, try watching it, and then send it to you some way, so you can try watching it. If you can, it's keepvid that has the bugs.
Posted by jhsu on Jan. 13 2008,17:13OK, I solved the problem by switching from the unc version to the uci version. The uci version has a lot of stuff that the unc version lacks.
