can someone help me? how can i play files in the internet with extension .ASX? where can i get plugin for this? thanks! :)

asx files are basically playlists - they let the browser know where to send to to play the content.
They work with Firefox in windows, I am not sure about dsl - you might have to set up where things get played (in windows it uses wmp.)

with DSL XMMS, i can't listen to my favorite radio station which is audio streaming in the internet with an extension ASX. but with windows media player, ok!

This station is a Windows Media Audio 9 broadcast.

Get the mplayer.dsl extension from the MyDSL repository in order to play this format.

After you install, open an xterminal window and type:

mplayer < http://www.eradioportal.com/dzbb.asx > and wait for caching to reach 20% and it will start playing.

Or you can search the internet for an XMMS plugin that plays wma 9 audio.
