Hi, forgive me since I'm just in here asking you where did you find xwine.dsl? I looked in the myDSL respository and couldn't find it.

Also, did you have to heavily configure xwine.dsl to work with dvdshrink or did it work with just the default settings?

I wish I knew the answer to your question though. Sorry.

Thank you.

jedak88,

This version of xwine works great on my machine:

I can only start DvdShrink with Xwine! (i don't think i can use it in DSL because i can't even open a DVD/files with it, it looks for a dvd-drive like windows does, so it can't do anything with /mnt/....)

Patrick: that is one of the things wine does. It routes drive letters to devices.  Make sure your DVD is mounted and wine is configured.  If you need help using wine try their docmentation page:

Hope this helps,

In the dos emulator you need to mount drives to be a drive letter (i.e. mount c / makes C: equivalent to your root mount d /mnt/cdrom would make D: equivalent to a cdrom which is already mounted in Linux).  There is probably something similar n xwine (although I have never used it so I am only guessing here).
