I'm trying to get the xawtvdebs.dsl to work so I can watch tv, and I get this error :

This is xawtv-3.72, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.26)

Any ideas on what is wrong-I get sound but no picture, however the screen capture from within the program does work. Ive used xawtv in knoppix with no problems.

Dunno why XV is not available, open a
terminal and try " xawtv -noxv ".
I guess your .xawtv config is O.K.?
Other than that, sometimes permissions can be tricky.
Try it as root, if you have to.

V4l-conf may need to be run first, but I've never used
the xawtv.debs package, so I don't really know if it's
there.
