Hello people! I'm new to linux/DSL

How do you load files that are on the hard drive? Such as to play on XMMS or view pictures? DSL seems to only list the files that are on the CD drive (I think)

The music I want to listen to are on C:/music/MP3's/
and the Pics are on C:/My Documents/My Pictures/

Hi!

First, you must mount the partition - guess, it is hda1 if you have windows on your first partition. Mounting can be done from the panel on the right side of the desktop. After this, you are free to browse the mounted partition. It will be accessible as /mnt/hda1

Greetings,
Robert
