Hi all,

With a new install to HD of DSL 2.0, with kernel 2.4.31. Upgraded binutils, gcc etc so that compilation works.

With the kernelsources.dsl package installed ndiswrapper compiles fine but fails at the depmod -a stage (no surprise there) because the kernel is 2.4.31 and the kernelsources.dsl is 2.4.26.

I got the linux-2.4.31 sources, knoppix-kernel.patch and dsl.config from the ibiblio site, unpacked and restored /usr/src/linux and /lib/modules/2.4.31/build symlinks.

Attempting to apply the patch:
Code Sample
# patch -p0 < knoppix-kernel.patch

fails at line 3. Have these patches already been applied?

Attempting to make the kernel also fails with an error from mount! This si where I run out of ideas. (Well, I have ideas but have run out of confidence that I won't break DSL and have to start again :)

Knowing that I just want the headers for 2.4.31 DSL2.0, is there any simpler way of getting this done?

Thanks in advance,

DrR
