Hi, does "rDesktop" mean remote desktop, like the one found in windows? If so, how is it used? What goes in to the SERVER field. Thanks.

YesThe name of your Remote Desktop shared computer goes into the SERVER field. If you don't have a DNS server, you can type in the raw address into the SERVER field instead of the computer name. Go back to your Windows computer and open a Command Prompt window and type: ipconfig and it will tell you the numerical address of the computer. Keep in mind that if you use "Automatic assigned IP address" for your network, this number could change when you power down and reboot your computer system. |
