no internet connection

hi everyone
i try to run dsl off the cd rom but i can not connect to the internet.
i try to run dsl off the cd rom again but from another computer and it can connect to internet
i have linksys router dealing with the connection for the house.
Is there any setting i need to do to get connection for my computer?

pls tell us more detail about your network card: wireless or wired card, brand, model, firmware version

I'm using a d link router di 524, it's a wireless router but i connect with ethernet cable.
My network card is Asustek/broadcom 440x10/100 integrated

Check DHCP function in your rounter. If it's correct, DSLpanel --> Netcardconfig --> Yes
If the result is Eth0 ... OK, that means you can use internet connection. Otherwise, please provide us the error message. :D

Thanks for your replies guys
I can use the internet now
i have to type this eveytime i reboot
sudo su
modprobe b44
exit
exit

I don't know what that means but it get the job done

Where can i find more information about the command ?
Is there a way to set it somewhere, so that i don't have to type it again everytime i log in?

You should be able to add the
modprobe b44

to your /opt/bootlocal.sh

Then upon backup/restore the command will run as root each time you boot up with restore.

The sudo su mean you are becoming the superuser (root)
