Hello,

I installed DSL for use on file server. Samba shares my repertories for a Windows XP. All is OK, but...

apparently my network turn on 10Mbits (6Go/hours).

My DSL (2.1) turn on Pentium Pro 180 with 128Mo HDD 80 and 160Go, Via Rhine III and communicate with a Windows XP (tested with autonegociation and 100 Full duplex)

Which file must be modified ? or which command must I use ? ethtool ??

Best regards

Is it in the "Upgrade to GNU utilities" function?

Otherwise, you may need to apt-get it or use Synaptic to get it.

Maybe "enable APT" and then open a terminal window and type:

sudo su
apt-get install ethtool

cbagger01, many thanks for your reply.

In fact, I could test dsl with a rhine II, and my network speed to 100mb  :D

then... the rhine III is incompatible with the distribution
