Hi All,

I am new to DSL and I must say it looks quite good, but there is one thing I would like to enhance it with and thats Nmap, can anyone give me some pointers on how I can add it to my distribution so I can use it on networks that don't allow downloads from the internet.

thanks

hasn't anyone got a clue on how to incorporate Nmap?

Look in the < dsl net repository >.  There is a package for nmap there.

Thanks Clacker, I see there is a package there but I want to incorporate it into my USB bootable version that I have without having to download it every time.

Any Help?

gingergit, according to the < DSL Wiki -- USB Booting Page >, if you put the nmap.dsl or nmapFE-0.2.54.dsl into the /cdrom directory of the USB drive, they will be automatically loaded during the boot process.

unrelated to .dsl installation but how does nmap help you to download from networks that don't?

It doesn't, I want to add nmap on the distro so I don't have to download it
