Does anyone know how use this thing with DSL? I did some homework before asking and have come to the conclusion that it can not be done from cd. You have to change some things (drivers, kernel, ?) and that would require a remastering of the cd or hd install or sumptin'

Any insight would help. Thanks in advance

I don't have a wireless USB adapter, but a quick search on Google for "knoppix MN-510" reveals the following information:

Keep in mind that DSL 0.6+ is based on knoppix 3.3 so the the same solutions should apply to both systems.

I would try typing this into an Xterminal Command Prompt:

sudo su
modprobe prism2_usb
exit
exit

and then run the wireless configuration script and see what happens.

Otherwise, a second search of Google for "knoppix prism2 usb" might be of some additional help.

Finally, this guy below has a script for the initialization of prism2 based usb wireless adapters that might work for you:

Good Luck.
