setup for ppp goes good and saves and works.going back into setup before rebooting sees new config. filetool saves and restores ppp/dir just fine. after reboot and restore all files restore fine but dialer flashes one light on modem and goes to lunch. going into the setup fails to find either the provider or qwest setups. etc/ppp/peers/provider or qwest are created by setup but /etc/chatscripts/quest does not exist. although it dial fine without it. has anyone else seen this and know what to do ? thanks..... How about adding /etc/chatscripts/quest to your filetool.lst? Then backup after you run your pppconfig.

Thanks so much..i wasn't seeing the chapscripts getting created, and I'm a little confused over what shows up in opt and etc...but I'm slowly wallowing around.I just got this up and i love it ! Very nice job. Is there a cd with the live config and a complete mydsl on it ? (maybe even with some useful build scripts ?) is there a sniffer ? your tiny little cases have me thinking too..do you know if plan 9 runs on any of your mb's ? thanks for your help cj @ SD Posted by roberts on July 15 2004,13:53
Actually, the /etc/chatscripts should and will be moved under the /opt/ppp so that it will be included in the "standard" backup. Thanks for pointing this out.
