I have only just found out about this after a recommendation from a friend, i decided to download this very small unix :) I am such a n00b at this and it didnt burn correctly to start with. I have like no knowledge of lunix and im not really sure where to start.

I really need to get the internet working, i have a NTL:Home broadband modem connected with usb, and i dont think on my install disk it has drivers for lunix. If you could provide me with any help i would really apprichate it. I tried to click on ipconfig, but noting came up.

Also, i think i have resolved this but whats the root pass?

Nobody knows the root's password but you can change it...
Code Sample

damnsmall@box $ sudo passwd root

Easy :D

Broadband on a usb modem, Wow!  I wish I had that so I could see if DSL could
detect it. If it works in Windows, perhaps you could use another computer with a
NIC, run Damn Small on it, and see if Damn Small can spot the connection through the
NIC, connected to your main machine with the Broadband modem on it.
Someone that knows all about this needs to jump in here and help Matt!

Wonder if the Knoppix forums have details on setting up usb modems since we use the same hardware detection.

Can't try here as its a broadband router.
Love the speed of Dillo on an old p150 with 32mb ram, makes my main box look arthritic
