This is a ThinkPad 750Cs, with modem,  with that flakey DualScan monitor.  I have a .c script that is supposed to fix the display but cannot 'make' the file because no net access at HD install to allow for the enhanced install.  (I used DOS Interlnk/Intersvr to do the install)

1)  What do I need to do to get ppp going from a console   or,
2)  How can I get the Enhanced install without net access?

Thanks for your time.

PPP from console, use the command pppconfig to setup, pon <your provider name> as specified in pppconfig, to dial.

Thanks Roberts that was too simple.  That solved the ppp problem but am still unable to do the enhanced install.  DSL has to be hdinstall(ed) to run pppconfig but once installed the EXT2 fs goes read-only if I try to dsl-hdinstall a second time.
Is there a way to download all the files for Enhanced?

Thanks again

Your partition should not be read only unless, you used the boot time hd install (poormans) or the frugal install.
The dpkg-restore is fetching the files for enhanced by wget from www.damnsmalllinux.org/dpkg-install.tar
