Hi! I have just installed on my hd DSL 2.2b but I'have never used it.
I want to install the browser Opera and so I have downloaded the file opera754.dsl but I don't know the command to install it.
Can someone help me?
Thank you very much!

I just installed dsl current..to hd..downloaded 754u1 which I use on win but it had font issue..long white box when click icon..downloaded opera6 tar.gz to home/dsl..clicked mydsl button in file manager and it installed and runs fine..little different than the win version if you are familiar with that.but faster than firefox on an older machine..good luck : )

Downloads for dsl can be found in the repository. go to the top of the forum page and click the damn small linux link..this will take you to the front page..choose the download link and choose a mirror..this will take you to a repository..choose mydsl folder and have a look around..opera6.1.2.tar.gz worked for me. download to /home/dsl. goto emelfm, highlite opera then click mydsl button to install. open via desktop icon or mydsl menu.

hey
i would like to install Opera 8.52, because i have tested this version enough under windows, and its my favorite Opera besides 6.05 =)
ok, i'm on official site, linux download, what version i need to download:
Debian Unstable (Sid)
Debian Testing (Etch)
Debian 3.1 (Sarge)
Debian 3.0 (Woody)
Debian 2.2 (Potato)
i remember, that i need to active one line and deactive another to change my linux from oldstable to testing (what was the path to this file?)... so after this, i do apt-get update, and download Debian Testing Opera?
i know how to use gunzip, tar and have gcc.
looks like it is deb file... is it compatible with DSL?
anyone tried Opera 8.52 Testing DEB?

and bonus question: UCI files are installed always as temporary files?
because after reboot (i dont use frugal, i have complete hd installation), Opera from myDSL UCI no exist anymore...
