No, you probably won't find any test servers. You'll need to install your own server on another machine. The point is like a virtual desktop of another computer somewhere. For example, I have two computers on my desk. My duty one has the vnc viewer on it, and the other one has the vnc server. I fire up the viewer connected to the other box, and I get a window containing the desktop of the other machine. Check < http://www.realvnc.com/gettingstarted.html > for some more info.

Kinda like PCAnywhere, I think (never used that personally)

commandr,

VNC works two ways.  You can view control the server from an Internet browser using java, or you can use a VNC viewer.  When you setup the server you have the option to change the display or port number.  The default display number for using the VNC viewer is 5900.  The default display number for accessing VNC from a web browser is 5800.  If you use display number 3 then they will be 5903 and 5803.

So, if you setup VNC server on a machine and do not change the display number you can connect to it with DSL's VNC viewer by typing the IP address and port number... ie 127.0.0.1:5900

Hope that helps.
