I have a Via-Rhine 10/100 Ethernet card using DHCP attached to a Road Runner cable modem. When I boot DSL using the options noapic nosmp (required for Internet acces on Knoppix), I get an "eth0 did not complete reset in 10ms" message repeating several times before giving up on my Internet and starting the GUI. I'm running DSL 0.5.1.1, though it appears in 0.5, 0.5.1, and at least one version of 0.4.x. The MD5 of the download checks out fine, the CD is good, and the MD5 sums on the CD match the ones in the MD5 sum file. What's wrong?
