Hi all,

I have HD installed 0.6.1 on my old Toshiba laptop.
Problem is that I use to dial-up to my ISP on my other XP (shame on me!) laptop but
can not hold connection on DSL.
It is a 'chat' type connection and I can see at syslogs that I got 'CONNECTED' but after aprox.
3 or 4 seconds I got an 'Modem hangup'. After that if I issue an 'poff' command I get an reply saying that there is no pppd running.

I am using an Silicom 56K PCMCIA modem on /dev/ttyS1 and it run fine on Win98 in the very same laptop (yes I change from W98 to DSL :-)

Any hints ??

Cheers,
Mario

Just a guess but it sounds like the hardware is making the connection to your ISP ok.  You probably don't have the login set up right so it's hanging up on you.  I'd recheck your login user and password.
