I have a 256 mb of usb pen drive to use it as a rescue live linux. I tried knoppix, it worked as a gem from a Live CD, But I couldn't fit in to my 256 flash usb drive. So I choose DSL, but I am facing a problem when I trying to install my wirless card.

< ndiswrapper installation guide and list of wireless cards >

I followed the instructions given in the above site to install my Dell Wireless 1450 (802.11a/b/g) Dual-Band WLAN miniPCI Card in Knoppix 3.6 and 3.7 with the ndiswrapper, it worked flawlessly. However when I did the same with DSL 2.2 I couldn't get it to work. I believed if DSL is based on Knoppix it should work the same.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jks

Is it Dell Wireless 1450 USB 2.0 Adapter or Dell Wireless 1470 WLAN miniPCI Card? ???

It's the 1450 MiniPCI Card in-built with the labtop. I don't see 1470 anywhere in the window Harware Manager screen. Yesterday I even tried with the lastest RC2 of DSL it didn't work too. The whole system was hanging

It would appear that your newer hardware will require the next/newer kernel 2.6 based system that we will soon be offering in addition to our flagship DSL. Otherwise you may wish to try your hand at compiling a newer ndiswrapper?
