Anyone know of a way to show the running desktop on vnc.
I am trying to set up a vncserver so I can connect to same screen as the person using DSL in case they require any support but when I connect I get a new DSL screen and cant see what the other person is doing.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanx in advance.

yeh, go to the repo, check the testing zone, there is a package about vnc, you can share every display you like with it, even :0

Sorry to answer my own question but I have worked this one out myself.

I have edited the .xinitrc and added the line:  x0vncserver -securitytypes=none &

this seem to work fine.

Thanx anyway  :D

Cool Beans !! Thx for your input PollyDan. And thanks again to dukkieduk for creating the .dsl.

I'm making this post from another OS right now using RealVNC as the client, connected to DSL. It's on the local LAN, but a break through for me.The exe for windows is vnc-4.0-x86_win32.exe.

Thx goes out to both of you. Ya's made my day ;-)
