Hi all, I really like DSL and use it when restoring old puters to give away to families that don't have one. I have just built one that has a Lucent LT modem and was just wondering if it is supported out of the box. I know that Puppy supports it as that is my alternate choice if the puter does not like DSL for some reason. If I need to install something then I will pop the HD into my test puter and use my cable hookup to get what I need. Anyone know about this off the top of their head? Thanks, Woob

Yes. Lucent LT winmodems are supported out of the box.

LT modem support has been in DSL since version 2.0, or somewhere in that area. You should receive a message near the end of the boot process which tells you if one is found./dev/modem should automatically be symlinked to the appropriate device, so setup is as easy as can be.
