I have an internal modem (CNET) that the PPP config does not detect in the wizard. It is connected in the COM3 port. Everytime I tried to dial-up, after the dialog asking to enter the isp name, nothing happens. I suspect Linux couldn't communicate with the modem. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

First search these forums for info on winmodems.
Some will work with linux and some won't.
Then search knoppix net (DSL is based on knoppix)

Can't add anything else since I don't use one :(
