Devicescape sounds promising, but only if vendors decide to use its api to write their drivers. If everyone doesn't play along, and what a shock they might not, this will simply be another really cool idea that didn't happen. On the other hand, they already cover atheros out of the box. That alone makes them a defacto standard considering the number of cheap wifi cards out there using that chipset. |
