I installed DSL 2.3 on a Compaq Presario 1230 notebook. I have only a pcmcia slot to use for networking, and I'm using an Airnet AWN154 card. I installed the XP driver via filemanager, and -ndiswrapper sees the driver, but not the card. PCMCIA Tool sees the card, but Wlanconfig fails. I've searched (but maybe not well enough) for a tutorial, but I'm coming up empty. Anybody have any suggestions? I'll post more information if needed. Am I missing a step?

EDIT: The card is indicated to work from this list:

Try dsl-2.4RC2 it has a much newer ndiswrapper

How confident are you that 2.4RC2 will solve the issue? Is it possible to leave the HD-Installed version of 2.3 and live cd boot 2.4RC2?

Also, did I explain my problem well enough to be understood? I'm a novice, so I want to make it easier to get to the bottom of the trouble.
