Hi all, I am completely new to DSL/Linux/computers; so please be patient with me. I tried DSL Live CD. Booting was no problem and everything appeared to work. I am really impressed with this stuff! But, I cannot connect to the Internet. I have a wireless setup which is built into the laptop; i.e. no card, a built-in wireless connection. Does anyone know how to help me set things up in DSL? I tried WLanconfig but it said no network card was detected. Here is some info. that might help:
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M7405 laptop
Intel ® PRO/Wireless 2200BG :)

You may try DSL-2.1b (kernel 2.4.31) and < ipw2200-k2.4.31.dsl >  Good luck  :D

Thanks, I tried but it didn't work. Funny thing is that I also tried Ubuntu which did recognize my wireless connection etc. But I would really prefer to get into DSL. To be honest, I prefer it to Ubuntu. So, if anyone has some more advice it would be gratefully received. :)  :)

Thanks, but I can't get things going: complete lack of expertise:(  Anyway, I recently tried out Knoppix which autoconfigured my wireless connection with no problems:) Good luck to all fellow Linux users!:) :)
