Hmmm, Maybe I'm missing something but I can see any of those packages at this location.I used to know where they were but now I can't find them. Have they moved recently ? [QUOTE] Posted by ZoOp on June 17 2006,12:48
Hi,newOlduser said that these are the packages in the base .iso the packages for appach, samba and mysql can be found f.ex. there: < http://ftp.belnet.be/packages/damnsmalllinux/mydsl/ > Check the rep in order to find the appropriate extensions. You have then to read the wiki and search the forum in order to find answers to questions concerning the installation and use of packages. yours z Posted by Headly on June 22 2006,11:30
I searched every link on that page and mysql isn't listed there.Perhaps there ar none so blind as those that can not see I went to one of the ftp mirrors and truged through the folders but no luck. You might have to whack me over the head with it. David Posted by newOldUser on June 22 2006,16:23
Headly,Sorry, I've re-read my answer to your original question and it was unusually short for one of my answers. As you know by now DSL does not come 'out of the box' with those modules included. Many if not all of them can be found by looking around at the different DSL extentions that users have built. The extentions are user built and user maintained. When I was running Linux,Apache,MySQL and PHP, I used DSL and Xampp ( < http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html > ). Xampp worked great with DSL, you download it and expand it into your /opt directory (that's where I put mine at least). Do a tweak and a reboot and poof, you had a pretty good server up and running (there were some security issues, see the website). Good luck |
