I have a motorola sb5101 cable modem and i need to know how to use it through USB with DSL. Im a noob with linux so please help!!! :D

I'm trying to do the same thing with a DLink DSL 302G. I hoped that having "DSL" in the name meant it would work just fine. :p

All the configuration stuff I have found so far just tells me to use Ethernet.

I'm sure it's possible.....just need to know how.

The easy way is to use a Network Card instead of a USB port but here is the USB method:

I got my BT voyager 105 USB modem working with the eciadsl utility
from the below site:

you will also need to install 'make' before compling the files from source.

the eciadsl.dsl is already in the < testing repository >
