I have tried using a netgear WG121 & ndiswrapper with no success. I get the messages ndiswrapper version 1.14 loaded (preempt=no,smp=yes) usb.c: registered new driver ndiswrapper ndiswrapper: driver netwg121 (NETGEAR, Inc.,11/13/2003, 1.0.5.1000) loaded ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:246): log: C000138A, count: 3, return_address: c8dabc35 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 259 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 942813774 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 4387 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:246): log: C000138A, count: 3, return_address: c8da7c5f ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 3221225473 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 1835619394 ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:249): code: 55 ndiswrapper (miniport_init:273): couldn't initialize device: C0010006 ndiswrapper (pnp_start_device:497): Windows driver couldn't initialize the device (C0000001) Does anybody have any ideas? Using the same procedure on dsl-n does work - maybe the ndiswrapper in dsl is a bit old? Posted by roberts on June 15 2006,18:39
I don't think ndiswrapper is too old. It was just recently upgraded. See change logs. Your netgear driver is from which windows platform? Try drivers for other window paltforms. The driver you are trying to use is dated 2003 and that is not referring to the ndiswrapper.

Yes, that's the latest for NT/2000/XP. There is a win98 driver as well that I will try...The reason that I thought that ndiswrapper might be a bit old is that there are different options in DSL-N Posted by cbagger01 on June 17 2006,16:21
From the ndiswrapper sourceforge page:# Card: NETGEAR WG121 Wireless USB2.0 Adapter Chipset: Prism54 (I don't know more) usbid: 0846:4200 Driver: WG121 Software Version 2.0, NETGEAR Inc.,03/09/2004, from < http://www.netgear.com > Other: Seems to work well. I had to upload the new firmware by running the installation on WinXP, but now it works. If anyone knows another way, please edit this. I used the drivers in the ndis5-directory of the unzipped download. |
