I bought this card thinking it works with Madwifi driver.  I installed Madwifi driver card is identified in control panel as being altheros chipset.

However the link lights don't seem to be working

Can anyone help me with getting this working in DSL

I saw there was another post about this Netgear card but his seems to be a different chipset.

Thanks

Jeanette

I noticed amessage during boot up

insmod: Module ath_hal loaded with warnings
module wlan loaded with warnings
insmod/lib/modules/2.4.26/net/ath_pci.0 init module no such devvice

insmod Hint:insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
You many find mroe information in syslog or output from dmseg

I am not sure how to fix it though

and what do those say?

They were both empty

O_o... how could they be empty?

dunno but both files are empty

Anyway it seems like after a search of the board that NDISwrapper is the way to go but not sure never used that before.

*bump* I have the same problem. I tried ndiswrapper with the windows driver, but it did not work. The Pcmcia control in the control panel sees the card when it is either of the two slots(the laptop has a slot 3 which also works as two slot twos) Ndiswrapper says the hardware is present and the driver works but dmesg from during install did not show a new card like the guide said it should. Wlanconfig only shows "lo" and says ath0 and wlan0 do not exist. I am running a hd install of 3.1 so madwifi was already installed. Dmesg says something about pin A and I'll copy it down but first if you managed to fix your problem jrusso it would be nice to know how.
