Hi all,

This may be a simple question?

Hardware set-up:
Say if I had 10 thin clients, all running DSL from USB pen drive. These 10 thin clients are connected to a server with dsl installed on hard disk,  (I’m planing to install apache as well).

Problem:
When a user is not using a thin client for 5 minutes, a media message (mpeg2) is displayed, until the mouse is moved (thin client made active again). The principle is the same as a screen saver I guess. Each thin client would have to work independently.

How would I do this?

what would you say is the best mpeg2 player to use? Something that is small is size, easy to use and modify.

Many thanks

Dan

Actually, you could use xscreensaver.

A search shows:
Not sure if that supports mpeg2, though.
