as the server, and do you know if there is a manual or tutorial out there? Ive tried searching google but no reliable sources.

Just search "ssh" and you should be fine. Or see the help/man pages.

For DSL, you can boot with "dsl ssh" for the server to autostart. Then all you have to do is change your password (or boot with "dsl ssh secure" ).
