hello there...

i have here a problem with my wireless network card get to work under dsl 3.01. the card is a netgear MA401 and is working with dsl 3.01. it is regognized by the system at startup correctly, but after some time the card "disappears" from the system.

what going on ? i put in my cared to my laptop, then i start the laptop, the card is regognized by the kernelmodules, after the start of fluxbox the wmwave dockapp is loaded and i can see the card activated and good link signal... after a minute or so, the wmwave applet is not drawing any signal from the card, the whole applett is blank... the network cards led is blinking. when i start wlanconfig, wlanconfig means that it couldnt find any wireless network card.

when i pull the card of from the slot and take it back again, wmwave draws some signal, wlanconfig finds the card and i can made the setup, but after a minute or so the card is dead again...

what could be wrong ?

BTW: the card has been working before with this dsl and the laptop, i have downloaded a fresh copy of firefox with it...

The MA401 is a very reliable card with DSL.
I use one on a regular basis.
This would point to your hardware, perhaps an IRQ conflict.
Check with dmesg | grep -i irq
If so, try assigning via BIOS
On the other hand it could possibly be a weak signal or interfernce.
