Hi,
i already managed to make this modem work under xubuntu, but with dsl i encountered a lot of difficulties:

a)it seems i have to recompile the kernel or to download a 2.6.15 or later kernel to have the right driver

b)i have to put the firmware in /lib/firmware for permitting hotplug to load the firmware but there is no such directory nor firmware.agent file in /ect/hotplug to know where to put it.

c)i tried to reinstall hotplug, but when i type "make install" in the new downloaded hotplug directory (the one created after tar -zxvf hotplug.tar.gz)i get sthing like this:
usr/bin/install: invalid option (at the beginning)
Error 1 (at the end)

Any help about will be very appreaciated.
Thanks.

you need 2.6.10+, or you could try to use the obselete package.  See < http://sourceforge.net/projects/accessrunner >

Maybe you should consider DSL-N.
