The only way I could install DSL on my laptop was by using the "nopcmcia" option during boot.
I don't have a LAN port on my laptop, but I do have a wireless card and a wireless card port.

I've run WinXP on it, and it read the wireless card and I was able to connect to the internet. But on DSL, I can't!

But now that I've installed DSL, how can I get my laptop to read the card??

With the pcmcia card inserted, can you boot DSL without the 'nopcmcia' option?

If that works, try using ndiswrapper. Ndiswrapper will use the drivers that WinXP used.  It works with some cards/chipsets.

The point is, once you can get your machine to boot with the card inserted you can search the forum to see how to use the card.   Actually, a forum search can't hurt no matter what.

Also, when you post back add more info about the brand of PC and pcmcia card.

Good luck

Yeah, I got it to install with nopcmcia. But how do I use ndiswrapper and do you mean I should search these forums for my card name?
