Just recently downloaded Dsl to try linux out. I burnt a live cd with the iso and everything worked fine on the live cd(I did a checksum and iso was good). Anyways when I installed it on a partition on my drive it refuses to connect to the net. I used the control panel and it tells me it cant find modconf. I looked in etc/modules and the 8139too driver is listed in there. Im pretty sure this is the correct driver for my smc ez card with a realtek chip. So can anyone fill me in on what the problem might be. Also I have to keep reseting the mouse everytime I boot to DSL. Why doesnt it keep my settings? Last question, is it ok for DSL and the other linux I have installed to use the same swap partition.
                                                        Thanks in advance

1. Which version of DSL are you using? (this relates to the b44 module, which 8139too uses)
2. Re: saving settings: read the local startup documentation (first popup under dillo, or see wiki)
3. Re: swap: yes

There was a problem with v3.2 and realtek rtl8139 netcard, read earlier post for fix or grab DSL v3.3
