I have a frugal install on a CF w/ide adapter system at home and  the WUSB54gs adapter works great with ndiswrapper and the Belkin Linux drivers.  I bought the system through DSL last year.  I use this system all time with DSL - quiet, fast, and it's a dream.

I have an HP Pavilion dv1000 laptop that works great with the Linksys WUSB54gs adapter in Windows, but can't get it to power up using DSL 3.3 LiveCD.

I've worked for days trying to solve this problem -  using Google, many forums, and books.  I can't find the solution.

After putting in the following at sudo:

ndiswrapper -i /mnt/sda1/belkin/bcmrndis.inf
ndiswrapper -d 13b1:0014 bcmis
ndiswrapper -m

All go in ok.

Putting in ndiswrapper -l shows - driver ok, device connected.

I've tried every command I can come up with to get power to the adapter, but nothing seems to work.

iwconfig doesn't show it.
lsusb shows 13b1:0014
ifup wlan0 returns error
plus many more.

I also have a Proxim 8470wd that is recognized by DSL, but can't get it to power up either.

Can anybody please help with the solution, I love my DSL!

THANKS in advance
