Hello I hope I can get some help.

I have been trying to set up dsl on my old toshiba satellite 305cds, with 32megs ram and a linksys wpc11 wireless netcard. It took a few tries to get a clean image and finally installed version 3.2 which worked! my earlier distro did not install clean and was very unstable (?)

Now, I can get into dsl with no problems except for the wireless... I have used the search feature and read everything I can on this forum about the wpc11 card and the prism2 thing. The hardware works when I boot to winblows, it sucks with slow. Can someone help me with setting up the card and prism2. I have read about using columns? with the wep code xx:xx:... but I don't get it, if my code is 1122334455 then do I just type it in 11:22:..:55? cause it didn't seem to work for me? what else should I try?

please be gentle and keep it simple for the linux dummy

Ok, let me add some more information.

When I bootup from HD, (works fine) I see an error something like " error device not found wlan1" and it repeats maybe 4-5 times, then boot finishes in xwindows.

I've gone into the dslpanel and selected pcmcia and the linksys card is ready, all the info there looks right. (? not sure what it should be)

Now when I do the open control panel, and type in wlanconfig and it reports back that the linksys card is set at eth1. Is that right? if so, then I think I just need to set wlan1=eth1

Then my wireless internet should work...? maybe.

what am I missing? please help.
