Well I was in the IRC today and someone was asking about their Ralink Card, in particular a:
product info: "Ralink Technology, Inc.", "RT2500", "802.11 CardBus Reference Card"
 manfid: 0x1814, 0x0201
 function: 6 (network)

I grepped /etc/pcmcia and couldn't find much, and I found the mention of "Ralink PCMCIA" on the wiki to be way too vague. After a bit of research I found the rt2x00 project. The latest driver BETA rt2500 driver: v1.1.0-b4 was available so I built the module for them and did the best I could to make a .dsl package for it minus the addition to /etc/modules.conf and the depmod -a .

Looks like its working just fine but hes not near an AP to test it.
dmesg shows:

Code Sample
<6>rt2500 1.1.0 BETA4 2006/06/18 http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com

and iwconfig shows:

Code Sample
 ra0       RT2500 Wireless  ESSID:""
         Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.412GHz  Bit Rate:1Mb/s
         RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
         Encryption key:off
Link Quality:0/100  Signal level:-120 dBm  Noise level:-256 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
         Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

They are going to contact me when they get home this evening, if it looks good I'll post links here :)
