| Ralink Card RT2500, good news!Forum: Networking Topic: Ralink Card RT2500, good news! started by: graywind Posted by graywind on April 25 2007,01:46 Well I was in the IRC today and someone was asking about their Ralink Card, in particular a: product info: "Ralink Technology, Inc.", "RT2500", "802.11 CardBus Reference Card" manfid: 0x1814, 0x0201 function: 6 (network) I grepped /etc/pcmcia and couldn't find much, and I found the mention of "Ralink PCMCIA" on the wiki to be way too vague. After a bit of research I found the rt2x00 project. The latest driver BETA rt2500 driver: v1.1.0-b4 was available so I built the module for them and did the best I could to make a .dsl package for it minus the addition to /etc/modules.conf and the depmod -a . Looks like its working just fine but hes not near an AP to test it. dmesg shows:
 and iwconfig shows:
They are going to contact me when they get home this evening, if it looks good I'll post links here Posted by graywind on April 25 2007,05:53 ...and we couldn't get it to work, and I couldn't see why :/ Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on April 25 2007,18:46 This has been gone over many times...  please use a forum search. |
