gFTP error message

Hello Everyone,

I am running DSL on a very old laptop, P1 w/40 MB RAM. BUt it runs fine and I have a working ethernet connection.

I installed gFTP and was hoping to connect to a remote server that uses the SSH2 protocol. When I try to connect I get an error message saying "received wrong init string from server."

I installed the same gFTP software on my (newer) Ubuntu system and used it to connect to this same remote server and it worked fine.

Any idea why this program wouldn't work with DSL? Is there some other program I need?
