I try to configure this wireless card (Dlink DWA-642) 802.1n mode: I am using ndiswrapper with windows driver (net5416.inf):

hardware is present but no signal is active on the card (Act)

no wireless wlan0 or ath0 is present (iwconfig)

I tried it with dsl 2.1,3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 4.0alpha: same result

from dmesg: it says 'Windows can't initialize device C000001'

lspci shows the chipset as Atheros

From cardmgr (3.2.2 or 3.2.5 (dsl 2.1)), the card is absent

Any hint about this problem ?

Thank you very much

Claude

if you can settle with a/b/g speeds use the madwifi driver.. it's a native linux one, so it probably works better..
